The Cenotes Route has four types of cenotes: semi-open crystalline cenote, the open cenote, the great ancient cenote, and the blue cavern-like cenote. Xenotes will allow you to go deep into the Mayan jungle and get to know the cenotes in Cancun.

Important information

  • Xenotes Oasis Maya Tour activities are recommended for children over six years old.
  • This tour is not recommended if you have heart, lung, spine, asthma, diabetes, hypertension, are pregnant, or suspected to be pregnant.
  • Children over 1.40 m but under 12 years of age must present identification proving their age.

What to bring?

  • Remember to bring the printed proof of purchase of your tour.

Recommendations

  • The use of life jackets is mandatory for all water activities.
  • It is necessary to shower before entering the waters of the cenotes to preserve the ecosystem.
  • The minimum age to enter Xenotes is 6 years old.
  • For the zip line activity a minimum height of 1.40 m and a minimum weight of 40 kg is required.
  • Children from 6 to 11 years old pay half the adult ticket (they must present an ID to the tour operator when boarding the transport).
  • Children over 1.40 m but under 12 years of age must present identification proving their age.
  • Reservations cancelled more than 2 days prior to arrival date are subject to a 10% administrative fee; 2 to 0 days prior to arrival date, or in case of non-arrival, are non-refundable.
  • It is not possible to change the arrival date on the day of the visit.

Precautions

  • The Xenotes Tour is available Monday through Saturday.
  • Wear comfortable beach clothes and a bathing suit. Bring an extra change of clothes.
  • Confirm the time and place of departure of your transportation.
  • Your sunscreen and suntan lotion should only contain titanium oxide and zinc oxide for use in the Park.
  • Bring cash or a credit card to purchase photos of your visit.
  • It is important to consider that the cenotes are located in the middle of the jungle, so the roads to reach them are not paved.
